Organisation of the 2025 Ball

The RSCDS Breton Branch (RSCDS-BB) is organising its third international ball in Josselin (Morbihan) from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 September 2025 as follows:

2:00pm-4:00pm

Ceilidh for the children of Josselin.

4:00pm-6:30pm Walk through.
7:00pm-10:00pm Ceilidh open to all. There will be a paying bar during the evening and the food truck Ker Nilou will be selling galettes and crêpes to take away.
Saturday 13th Before 10:00am It will be possible to visit the Josselin Saturday market which begins early.
10:00am-1:00pm Day School, teacher William Williamson.
1:00pm-2:00pm Break for lunch when there will be sandwiches from the bakery available for participants.
2:00pm-4:00pm Day School continues.
6:30pm Ball and apéritifs at the Centre Culturel.
7:00pm Grand March with piper.
8:30pm Break for dinner.
9:30pm-11:30pm Ball continues.
Sunday 14th Morning Sightseeing and walking tours (organisation in progress).
1:30pm Lunch at restaurant (reservation required).

Lunch Chez Simon limited to the 36 people on a first come first served basis. Payment on the day with the restaurant.

 

How to pay:

  1. By bank transfer in euros to the RSCDS-BB Crédit Agricole account
    1. download the RSCDS-BB Rib by clicking here,
    2. please confirm the payment in writing to Mrs Gibbs: ,
  2. By French bank cheque in euros paid to the order of the RSCDS-BB and sent to Mrs Gibbs (14 rue Saint Jacques 56120 Josselin, Brittany, France),
  3. Using Currencies direct (https://rscds-bb.fr/fr/bal-2025/sponsors-fr) which will not incur any charges when opening the account nor when making the transaction.

Time limit and refund:

  1. Until the 1st of July, Early Bird reduction of 10%,
  2. Refund before the 1st of July: less 20 € - between July 1 and August 15: 50% - no refund after August 15.

Accommodation:

Transport :

  • By sea (https://www.brittany-ferries.co.uk/). Brittany Ferries sails to Saint Malo, Roscoff and Caen. It takes one and a half hour to get to Josselin from Saint Malo by road,
  • By air:
    • Rennes airport (https://www.rennes.aeroport.fr/), then by bus to Josselin changing at Rennes station,
    • Nantes and Paris airports, then by train to Rennes (direct) and bus (see above).
